A strategic and compliance-focused review of employer obligations under Canadian immigration law, including LMIA audits, prevailing wage rules, inspections and enforcement exposure.

Canadian corporate immigration has evolved into a highly regulated compliance regime. Employers sponsoring foreign workers face inspections, wage audits, document production demands, public blacklisting, and administrative monetary penalties.
This program provides a structured analysis of employer compliance obligations under Canadian work permit programs, including LMIA-based and LMIA-exempt categories such as intra-company transferees and CUSMA professionals. It examines prevailing wage requirements, record-keeping obligations, material change risks, inspection powers, and strategies for proactive compliance.
The session also addresses real-world risk management issues facing HR departments, global mobility teams, and in-house counsel, including how to conduct internal immigration audits, respond to government inspections, and mitigate enforcement exposure.
