About this course
This course will provide an overview of the legal and practical aspects of maintaining accurate corporate records in Canada, with a focus on the importance of transparency and accountability. Participants will learn about the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA) and the ISC register, as well as Quebec's new legislation requiring all enterprises to register information about their true owners in a public database. The course will also cover the challenges and uncertainties of defining reasonable steps, the role of the federal government in tackling financial crimes, and the infrastructure and resources required for implementing the new legislation.
