Most Human Resources Professionals in Canada require Professional Development credits to maintain their professional designation. Browse courses that meet your requirements, or choose one of our course packages, specially curated to contain all the hours and credits you need, in one place. The courses on LearnFormula may be counted towards professionally relevant, verifiable learning activities. It is the student's responsibility to validate whether an activity is an eligible educational activity for their professional development requirements based on their own learning needs.
Requirements
CPHR Manitoba requires all designation holders to complete 60 CPD Hours within a rolling three-year cycle, with a minimum of 10 hours each year by May 31.
A minimum of 3 hours must specifically relate to ethics within each three-year cycle. Members are encouraged to plan for approximately 20 hours each year to remain ahead of the requirement.
The rolling cycle means that by May 31 of each year, members must have accumulated at least 60 hours over the past three years, with the oldest year dropping off as the new year begins. Failure to meet these requirements will result in revocation of the designation.
Accreditation & Course Eligibility
CPHR Manitoba does not require CPD activities to be pre-approved. Activities that have not been pre-approved may still qualify if they contribute to professional development and enhance a member’s abilities as an HR practitioner.
A wide range of activities may be eligible, including:
Sales-focused courses are not eligible for CPD credit.
Reporting, Record-Keeping & Auditing
Members must report CPD activities annually through the online portal as part of membership renewal. Each entry should correspond with the date the hours were earned.
Supporting documentation must be retained for five years and may include:
CPHR Manitoba audits approximately 3% of members annually. If selected, members must provide supporting documentation for all CPD hours earned in the previous three years within 30 days. The audit verifies compliance with the 60-hour requirement, the 10-hour annual minimum, and the three-hour ethics requirement. Failure to provide sufficient documentation can result in revocation of the CPHR designation.
