Most Human Resources Professionals in Canada require Professional Development credits to maintain their professional designation. Requirements
CPHR Prince Edward Island requires all designation holders to complete 60 CPD Hours within a rolling three-year cycle, with a minimum of 10 hours annually.
Members must also complete at least 3 hours of ethics training within each three-year period, remain members in good standing, and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct.
CPD hours must be submitted annually by January 31 of the following year.
Accreditation & Course Eligibility
CPHR PEI does not require CPD activities to be pre-approved. Activities that have not been pre-approved may still qualify if they contribute to professional development and align with the CPHR Competency Framework.

Activities must be linked to at least three competency areas of the CPHR Competency Framework. Internal company training on procedures or processes does not qualify.
Reporting, Record-Keeping & Auditing
Members must submit CPD hours online each year by January 31. Hours are taken at face value but may be subject to audit.
Supporting documentation must be retained and should demonstrate the hours, content, and completion of each activity. Documentation may include:
Members selected for audit must provide documentation within the required timeframe. Failure to do so may result in loss of the designation.
