Most Human Resources Professionals in Canada require Professional Development credits to maintain their professional designation. Browse courses that meet your requirements, or choose one of our course packages, specially curated to contain all the hours and credits you need, in one place. The courses on LearnFormula may be counted towards professionally relevant, verifiable learning activities. It is the student's responsibility to validate whether an activity is an eligible educational activity for their professional development requirements based on their own learning needs.
Requirements
CPHR Saskatchewan requires all designation holders to complete 60 CPD Hours within a rolling three-year cycle, with a minimum of 10 hours annually.
Within each three-year period, members must also complete at least 3 hours of ethics training.
The three-year period is always rolling and continuous. For example:
It is strongly recommended that members earn more than the minimum of 10 hours annually to ensure compliance in case hours are reallocated or not approved during an audit.
Accreditation & Course Eligibility
CPHR SK does not require CPD activities to be pre-approved. Activities that have not been pre-approved may still qualify if they contribute to professional development and align with the CPHR Competency Framework.
Acceptable CPD activities may include:
All CPD must be linked to at least three competency areas of the CPHR Competency Framework. Internal company training on procedures or processes does not qualify.
Reporting, Record-Keeping & Auditing
Members must report CPD hours annually on a calendar-year basis, with submissions due by December 31.
Supporting documentation should be retained for at least 18 months after submission and may include:
CPHR Saskatchewan randomly audits 3% of CPD submissions annually. Members selected for audit are notified by March 1 and must provide documentation to support their CPD log. Failure to provide sufficient documentation may result in hours being deleted from the system, which could bring the total below the required minimum.
